BIG THINGS HAVE HAPPENED

Happy November!! Wow, the month of October literally just flew past didn’t it? But I had the best month ever! I love October, I love Autumn and it’s so exciting to start seeing the leaves changing colour, the weather getting cooler, and all the Christmas decorations making an appearance. Plus, October is my birthday month, so of course I love it even more. But now that we’re in November I just wanted to give you a little run down of what happened in the last month.

I started Christmas shopping. Gosh, I know! So early, but I have to, otherwise it all gets too much for me. Personally I don’t like shopping when the shops are crowded, so I prefer starting early to avoid all the havoc. I haven’t bought much yet, but it’s a start. Have you started yours?

Also over the month of October, me and Ricardo went away to Punta Cana. It was our first time going out of Europe and we loved it! People over there are so nice, and I mean genuinely nice. They’re not being forceful, or being nice just so you can tip them, they are actually nice people. They’re all so happy and in love with life, it was so refreshing to see. The beaches there are insanely beautiful, the food was delicious, the weather was incredible, ugh, we just had a brilliant time. I will be writing a post on our whole experience soon.

A few days ago yours truly turned 26. My oh my, I don’t feel 26 at all! I still feel like I’m in my early twenties. I was actually working that day, but I had such an amazing crew. Ricardo brought me breakfast in bed at 4:30am, I mean, who still does that? I’m a very lucky girl! Ricardo also planned a surprise birthday party for me. That melted my little heart, I even cried! Haha. He made a reservation at one of my favourite restaurants, decorated it, invited all my friends and ordered an amazing chocolate cake. I can’t tell you how happy I felt the entire day. From start to finish, all I felt was love.

And last, but definitely not least, over our holiday in Punta Cana, Ricardo proposed! I’ll be writing a more in depth post on this soon, but to cut the story short, I said yes at the time and then said no two days later. I was very disappointed with the proposal and that dulled the moment for me. But like I said, I’ll do a proper post on this soon, explaining my thoughts on marriage, why it’s ok to say no, and how to get over a bad proposal. I feel like many women may have been in a similar situation and are embarrassed to share their story, but I’m not. In fact, I love that we’ve cancelled it and we’re doing it again. It makes our story even sweeter.

Lots of love, SFS.
